Mrs. Barb, a warm and loving teacher, has worked with children for 23 years.  Mrs. Barb has been an assistant teacher at Burgett’s Child Care Center- West for 8 years. Mrs. Barb has worked with 2 year olds through school age and is currently the head teacher for the two year olds at BCCC South.  Mrs. Barb enjoys teaching the young children songs and implementing craft ideas.  Mrs. Barb is studying for a Child Development Associates Credential.

Mrs. Chris has been working with children for fourteen years.  She is in her tenth year teaching at Burgett's Child Care Center.  Mrs. Chris has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement from Purdue University.  She also has a current Indiana State teaching license for her major and endorsement.

Her strengths as a teacher include developing and implementing hands-on activities for all subject areas.  She is also able to adapt activities to meet a variety of developmental needs.  Mrs. Chris also helps children to develop independence. 

A specialty of Mrs. Chris' is that she teaches hands-on, inquiry based science education.  She does a wonderful job with her science curriculum and the children find the information that she teaches fun and meaningful.

Mrs. Manda, the director of BCCC South, has a degree from Purdue University in Early Childhood Education.  For the past six years, Mrs. Manda has had the opportunity to work with children.  Before moving into the director position at BCCC South, Mrs. Manda taught 3-5 year olds at BCCC West.  Mrs. Manda is enjoying her new opportunity as director and gets to see and work with all the children.

Mrs. Sheila, a dedicated and passionate teacher, has worked with children for 20 years.  Mrs. Sheila has worked as a head teacher at BCCC West for eighteen years.  She joined the team at BCCC South in Fall 2005.  Mrs. Sheila teaches the 2 1/2 year olds.   Crafts, songs and activities are often taking place in Mrs. Sheila's classroom, but one of her specialties is finger plays.  Mrs. Sheila is working towards a Child Development Associates Credential.

Mrs. Tina, an energetic and enthusiastic leader, has been working with children for 15 years.  She has worked at BCCC for 1 ½ years starting out at the West Lafayette location and moving to the South Lafayette location upon opening.  She worked as an assistant Kindergarten teacher while at BCCC West.  She did a tremendous job furthering the development of the Kindergarten curriculum.  While a great asset to the West Lafayette location, we were fortunate enough to have Mrs. Tina move over to the South Lafayette location as a head teacher for the Pre-K.  Mrs. Tina is currently working towards an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development Associates Credential. 

Mrs. Toni, a dedicated and hard working teacher, received a Child Development Associates Credential from Purdue University.  Mrs. Toni has enjoyed worked with children for 25 years.  Mrs. Toni has enthusiastically been a lead teacher of 2 and 3 year olds at Burgett’s Child Care Center for 17 years.  She has much strength as a teacher. Some of her strengths include developing creative, age-appropriate curriculum, working with children on fun, hands-on activities, and directing group play in our large play spaces.
