Each classroom has it's own unique curriculum.  The curriculum for each classroom is age and ability level appropriate.  The teacher and director review the curriculum together before each month begins.  Changes are made based on each individual class' needs.

The head teacher in each classroom would be delighted to review their curriculum with any inquiring parent. 

Children at our West Lafayette location get great exercise swimming, riding trikes around our indoor or outdoor trike track, climbing and swinging, or just running on our 2.5 acres of playgrounds.  Children at our Lafayette location have access to nine different outside playgrounds, as well as to our gymnasium.  You're never too young to develop a healthy lifestyle and enjoy exercise. 

Private piano lessons are available at Burgett's.  Our piano teacher, Ms. Lisa, is an accomplished concert pianist and recording artist.  Each week, she comes to Burgett's and gives a private piano lesson to each of her students.  Your child gets a great piano lesson without you having to transport, wait or take time out of your weekend or evening!  Ask for a brochure if you are interested.

Make a pot on the potter's wheel, then glaze it.  Take soccer or tennis lessons.  Go to the pool or bowling.  Learn about insects or dinosaurs.  Go to a zoo or museum.  These are just a few of the things kids in our school kid summer camps have already done.  Our school kids fill their days with fun and educational activities, forming lasting friendships and building valuable skills along the way.  School kids can be hard to please, but there is something for everyone in our school kid summer camps!

In Summer 2009, our school kids had some great experiences.  They learned about electronic circuits, GPS, and making stop motion video.  Each group made their own.  Check out these fun results.

Zoo Phonics Is HERE!

We are very excited to begin the zoo phonics program.  Zoo phonics is a great way to begin teaching our children about phonetics.  The program incorporates animals with letter sounds which makes learning about phonetics more fun and interesting for children.  For complete info on zoo phonics, check out the website, www.zoophonics.org.  We will be starting this program in the pre-k classrooms and carry it out through Kindergarten.  All of our teachers that will be teaching zoo phonics have attended workshops and are zoo phonics certified!
